Guidelines for Authors

The Editorial Process

Overview:

A manuscript submitted to AHCJ undergoes a structured review to ensure quality, originality, and relevance.

Step-by-Step Process:

  1. Manuscripts must be submitted exclusively to AHCJ — not published, simultaneously submitted, or accepted elsewhere.
  2. Authors must authorize one corresponding author for all communication with the journal.
  3. All manuscripts are acknowledged upon receipt.
  4. Initial Screening:
    • Reviewed for suitability before formal peer review
    • Manuscripts with insufficient originality, serious scientific/technical flaws, or lack of significant message are rejected at this stage
    • Papers unlikely to interest AHCJ readers are also rejected pre-review
  5. Copyediting: Accepted manuscripts are checked for grammar, punctuation, print style, and format.
  6. Page Proofs: Sent to the corresponding author; corrections must be returned within 7 days.

Note

The entire submission-to-publication process, including sending and receiving proofs, is completely online.

Anti-Plagiarism Policy

Overview:

AHCJ enforces a strict anti-plagiarism policy to maintain originality and credibility.

Key Points:

  1. Plagiarism includes:
    • Duplicate publication of the author's own work (in whole or in part) without proper citation
    • Misrepresenting others' ideas, words, or creative expression as one's own
  2. All submitted manuscripts undergo a plagiarism check using commercially available software.
  3. Depending on the extent of similarity, authors may be asked to address minor duplication or similarity with previously published work.
  4. If plagiarism is detected after publication:
    • The journal investigates
    • Authors' institutions and funding bodies are notified
    • The plagiarized article may be retracted

Manuscript Submission

All manuscripts can be submitted through form submission column under research journal on Ishan Ayurveda page, once there is a call for papers.

Peer Review

Overview:

Manuscripts deemed suitable for publication in AHCJ undergo a rigorous peer review process to ensure quality and credibility.

Step-by-Step Process:

  1. Each manuscript is sent to two or more expert reviewers.
  2. A member of the editorial team oversees the manuscript, evaluates reviewer comments, and makes the final decision.
  3. Reviewers' comments and suggestions (acceptance, rejection, or amendments) are communicated to the corresponding author.
  4. Revised manuscripts must include:
    • The referees' remarks
    • Point-by-point clarifications at the beginning of the revised file
    • All changes marked (underlined or colored text)

Note

Follow the reviewers' comments carefully — revisions must be submitted online using the same process as the initial submission.

Acceptance & Publication

Overview:

Once a manuscript meets all editorial requirements, it moves toward final acceptance and publication.

Step-by-Step Process:

  1. Confirmation of Acceptance:
    • Authors are notified once all reviewer comments have been addressed and required changes implemented.
    • The corresponding author receives confirmation via email.
  2. Publication:
    • After final corrections, approved articles are uploaded to the website and included in the current issue.

Note

Ensure all corrections are completed promptly to avoid delays in publication.
